I am an experienced editor of articles and books.
To see what I have done to date, please see my publications pages. My editing contracts
are usually on a per hour basis, but I will entertain project contracts, too. I can offer
several types of editing services for my clients.
Review:
I can review a manuscript for factual content. This means that I
would identify facts in conflict, sources improperly cited, or sources that may be vital
to use but have been overlooked.
Format:
I can take a client's file and create or print a camera-ready
copy. This can be in a variety of pc-based programs. This formatting would conform to a
modified Register style which is a standard in the field of genealogy.
Input:
This entails my taking the clients' data in whatever form and
creating a manuscript for the client, going through the review and formatting stages.
Writing:
I also can conduct the research the client desires and then
create an article or book from that which incorporates all the above mentioned processes.
This service is often used when a client has a very unusual problem that is solved or
wants to have published an all my ancestry or descendancy book but does not have the time
available themselves.
